This event occurs every February. RWC members from all over the state converge in Jackson for this event. Activities begin the day before with board meetings, special tours, and dinner at a local restaurant. Legislative Day, itself, begins when we all gather in the Capitol Rotunda -- wearing our red coats -- for a Continental breakfast, Welcome and a short speakers program. During this portion legislators meet and mingle with us and we have the opportunity to visit with old friends and meet new ones. Following the Rotunda program, visits to various offices such as the Governor's, Lt. Governor, etc are in order and visits to both the galleries of both houses of the Legislature where we are introduced. The time before the luncheon might be spent visiting the Mississippi Republican Party Headquarters. The luncheon provides another opportunity to meet/greet/visit and to hear from candidates, elected officials and a guest speaker. The day ends with a Tea at the Governor's mansion.
